FIRST BARÇA MATCH UNDER RONALD KOEMAN

It's Barcelona's first 2020/21 preseason game today, the first game since Ronald Koeman was assigned as Barcelona's new coach, also the first game since the 2-8 defeat to Bayern Munich.

Although, Nàstic FC, the team Barça will be playing against today is nowhere near a team to beat. However, it's a start to something new, to actually see how we have evolved from the 2-8 thrashing and even from a whole disastrous season.

The experiment number 1 should be an ideal name. It's two weeks away from Barça's first LaLiga game of the season, there is still time to find that perfect set up that might just work.

Some important players like Ansu Fati and Miralem Pjanic are ruled out, the former(Ansu Fati) had suffered a hip contusion injury at yesterday's training session, while the latter(Pjanic) haven't started training yet due to complications of his Covid-19 infection, which he's recovered from.
These two players that are ruled will be important for the team this season, and it would have been great if Koeman had them today to experiment with. Hopefully, they will be back for the rest of the preseason games.

Ronald Koeman has announced his intention to try two different formations for two halves of the game, which will give each player literally 45 minutes each.
The culés can only hope that the brightest players of these preseason games will be very important for Barça in the 2020/21 season.
