PHILIPPE COUTINHO CORREIA IS ON A MISSION

  A name that will once again be uttered by Barcelona fans is Philippe Coutinho. A player that statistically was destined for greatness at Barça, the whole football world knew it, considering his club record transfer to Barcelona...

  It all started in January 2018, he already had boots to fill in the team, which is that of the legendary midfielder, Andrés Iniesta. 

  In the beginning, Barça fans saw glimpses of Coutinho's brilliance, particularly because the other two forwards(Luis Suárez and Lionel Messi) allowed more space for Coutinho to exploit and not necessarily get isolated on the left flank. 

  He is the type of midfielder that possesses what most modern midfielders don't, great long range finishing accuracy. He had it all, vision, off the ball movement, you just name it.

  However, a particular problem Coutinho has had to face from the very start, is being played off his natural position. 
  He did perform well in his first season(2017/18) at Barça and at the early stage of his second season (2018/19) at Barça, during this period he has had to relief his freedom role at his former club, Liverpool and take on more defensive duties.

  Later on in the 2019/20 season, the culés ran out of patience as Coutinho's performances had been below par, the season itself ended in chaos, which forced the board to make changes and ended up loaning Coutinho out to Bayern Munich...

  With Bayern Munich, Coutinho won a treble, scored two goals and and assisted another goal against FC Barcelona in the champions league quarterfinals, a tournament they went on to win. He didn't have a solid spot in the Bayern Munich team, and has been called back by Barça.
Yes, he is a very brilliant player, he has gotten his second chance to succeed at Barça, and he is on a mission; to prove every hater wrong. However, he needs a balanced system, a coach that knows what's best for him and hopefully this could his year.

FIRST BARÇA MATCH UNDER RONALD KOEMAN

  It's Barcelona's first 2020/21 preseason game today, the first game since Ronald Koeman was assigned as Barcelona's new coach, also the first game since the 2-8 defeat to Bayern Munich.   Although, Nàstic FC , the team Barça will be playing against today is nowhere near a team to beat . However, it's a start to something new, to actually see how we have evolved from the 2-8 thrashing and even from a whole disastrous season.    The experiment number 1 should be an ideal name.
